15yrs

On 3-23-96 I was given the greatest gift. I became the wife of my best friend, soulmate and lover. He is the kindest, patient, goofy, dorkipotamus, handsome lovable man I know. I love him more that I ever thought a heart was campable of loving. He completes me....
Even after 15yrs of being married. He is still the hand I reach for, the man I will grow old with, the man who knows all my secrets, supports my dreams, give me a push when I need it, and pulls me in his wonderful arms and wraps me in a hug. He completes me. Fifteen years of wedded bliss...can't wait to share another 128 with this fabulous man!! I love you Ken!!! =)

Kenster's 33rd

On the 24th was my hotty's 33rd birthday. We went camping and hiked into one of our favorite areas along the Lake Superior shoreline we call "Paradise" This is also the area we did a carving for our babies. This place is beyond gorgeous and brings solitude and peace.

I'm one lucky gal that this guy chose me to spend his past 16 birthdays with.

14 years of wedded bliss

On March 23rd, 1996 I married my best friend, my soulmate, my Ken. I'm not quite sure if I can even put into words just how much he means to me. I think our wedding song does a pretty good job. Enjoy the pics =)

Because You Loved Me lyrics

Songwriters: Warren, Diane;

Sung by : Celine Dion

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right

For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful, baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through
Through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me

You gave me faith 'cause you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me, ooh, baby

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me

Fantabulastic-ness

What a fantabulastic weekend!!! Friday we went to the deli for lunch and that night we stoked up the chimnea and cooked our dinner over the open fire. I am pretty sure there is nothing more soothing than a bonfire. Saturday we grocery shopped, worked on the house remodel, organized the pantry in the basement and Ken bought me four new books. Two of which are Amish Cookbooks, another about gardening in Michigan. The other one is called Amish Peace by Suzanne Woods Fisher. I will most likely talk about this book for months to come. Saturday night we rented the movie "Precious", and oh my skittles!!! What an intense movie. It made my blood boil. As much as it angered me, I totally plan on reading the book "Push" by Sapphire, which the movies was based upon. Just, wow!!! What a film and testimony of this young woman.

Ken took me on a surprise adventure on Sunday. We ended up at the DeYoung Zoo in Wallace. What a perfect day. It was in the low to mid 60's and not a cloud in the sky. Spring is here folks!! Well, for the time being at least. The warm weather has me itching to start planting in my new garden box.

We are thinking of going camping for our 14th wedding anniversary this weekend. I sure hope the weather cooperates.

I know this is random, but, have I told you lately how ultra fab my hubby is? Oh, and yes, I am aware that we are both wearing Bosox shirts and Jimmie Johnson hats. It wasn't planned out like that. LOL

I'm so proud!!

Last night we went to the Award Banquet for Niagara Logistics (the company Ken works for). Guess what??? Out of over 100 other drivers Ken was awarded the Safety Award Bonus!! You know what that means? He has one proud wife!!! He had a perfect score of 30 out of 30. Basically that means, he does his log book properly, paperwork is turned in on time, in a neat manner, no accidents, no tickets, violation free, etc. It's abunch of trucking stuff jargon that they base their decision on...and my Kenif won. =) He was presented with this snazzy plaque & a bonus check for $200!!! To say that I am proud of him is an understatement! This plaque will go next to his Owner Operator of the Year plaque he got 4yrs ago.

Thirteen Years Later

My how time flys by!! Today is our 13th Wedding Anniversary!! Sadly he is on the road & won't be home until late tonight so it's been rather frumpy froggish around here. But on the upside....WOW!!! 13 YEARS!!!!
I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this man!! He's my best friend, my partner in crime, my lover, my comedian, and he just flippen rocks!!!
In March of 1994 I met my Ken. I was down by the beach sitting in my car with my lil brother contemplating life. I had just gotten out of a not too swell relationship with a ral wank of a guy. The beach was just one of the few places I could go to think & try to regain my old self back after wank butt destroyed my happiness, my self worth, esteem. Put it this way... I was a mess!
A pickup truck beeped it's airhorn at me & the passenger was waving...now who in the heck could it be!! This was an OLD OLD Chevy stepside pickup painted primer gray...and it had bullet holes in it!! It pulled along side of my car & it was my friend Scott who was in the passenger seat & some other guy was the driver. I knew Scott through my wank of a bf only because wank & I would stand in the hall before class & Scott had a broken foot & he'd sneak up on us.
Anyways...Scot & myself talked a bit & he asked how I was & all that jazz. He went on & on about if I'd ever date anybody...to which I said NO!! I needed a long break from dating. Well this persisted & I said "fine!~ if the guy likes Davey Allison I'll give him a shot" Little did I know but the driver of the truck was wearing a Davey Allison ball cap!! Now, keep in mind, back in 94 NASCAR racing was not as popular as it is now a days. So with that Scott introduced me to Ken & we decided to go for a ride in my car & I showed them how my good ole' 4 door Buick century could smoke it's wheels!! OH gawd! I was a nerd!! Oh, I should also mention...I was wearing purple sweatpants & a Charlotte Hornets t-shirt! Yeah, not what most people would like to meet their future husband in!! Oh, and I had no makeup on & a mouth full of metal!! Yup...very HOT!!!! NOT!!! So after our ride I took them back to the creepy bullet hole truck.

Ken & my friendship kept on through the months. It was mostly a 'hello, how are you' type thing in the halls. I started dating a good friend of mine & went to my Senior prom with Pat. A couple days after Prom we broke up. We were just meant to be friends. Well with Scott knowing I was 'available' again he put the pressure on & I jokingly said "sure, I'll go with Woodbury" Well Scott marched right into Ken's math class & asked him if he'd date Pepin & Ken apparently said yes because Scott met up with me as I was walking to my class & informed me I was now dating Ken!!! YIKES!!! I barely knew Ken & we were dating?? what the!!!!!

It took us 2 weeks of 'dating' before we actually went on a date!! It was Ken's 17th birthday dinner at Crispignas with his whole entire family where our 1st date occurred!! Ok, most couples do something on their own before they are introduced to the family...yeah, not us...we never do things how they 'are usually done' The date went well & I silenced Ken's dad when he asked how many siblings I have....I have to count on my fingers & toes how many I have. NOOOO I did not take my shoes off but I did have to count on my fingers.

That summer I broke up with Ken a couple times. He was entirely too good to be true. Judging from my previous relationships this whole happy time doesn't last long & before you know it you are being controlled & all that other un-fancy stuff. During this 'break-up' we still hung out every day...but we said we were not dating...which is soo silly!!! Of course we were still dating!!! LOL

Now, not that anybody needs to know this...but I must say, it took us 9 months to kiss more than a peck & we did not participate in sex. I found out that Ken was in this for real. He was not just another guy wanting sex & all that other crap. We spent months & months building our relationship. One of complete honesty, trust & love. I can't even tell you how important this was. Because when times get rough we always have our friendship & that base of trust we built before we jumped in the bed so to speak.

In March of 95 we rented our 1st apartment. And on August 5th we found out we were expecting a lil baby!! We were so excited!!! We knew what we were doing when we did it...even though we were not married. I know that does not sit well with everyone & is not recommended at all. Well, the pregnancy failed & on August 23rd, 2 days before my 20th birthday, we lost "Angel" due to an ectopic pregnancy. It was a lot to digest & deal with & I am so thankful for that foundation Ken & I built.

In December of 95 we needed to get out of town & we moved to Green Bay, WI. My ex was up to his wankish behavior again & his buddies would try to run over Ken as he walked in school. The harassment was out of this galaxy & we thought a move would be the best thing. So, Ken dropped out of school &away we went. I know, not advisable to drop out. I always said I'd never date a drop-out...

During our stay in Green Bay we decided we'd move up our July 20th wedding to March 23rd, 1996. We always do things on a whim so to us totally uprooting our wedding plans & allotting a month before our wedding day was not even thought of as being odd. I told ya we don't do things by the book!!

Our wedding day came. We rented the VFW Hall, a place my parents frequented. It was not my 'dream' wedding but all that mattered was that I was marrying my best friend. Man, he's fantastic!! The hall was packed with friends & family & Scott, the same guy who got ken & I together was our best man. We were both minors at the time. I was 20 & Ken was 18 so we weren't drinking. Plus I still had a fair share of tummy issues from after my surgery going on so I sipped juice =)

The years have had it's ups & downs...we bought our 1st home in 96, lost our baby "Alex" on August 31, 1997, we've dealt with knowing we will never bear children as we had always hoped, jobs were had, jobs were lost, we lost our home & everything, lived in a camper for 3 years, we've traveled by semi to the 48 continental United States & many Providences in Canada, watched many a sunset, even stood on the Great Salt Lake & watch the sun set on the horizon, we've hiked, and biked & roller bladed to do out laundry, we've adopted 5 dogs & numerous cats, friends & family have died, we celebrated our 10yr wedding anniversary by renting the same hall we were married in & threw one heck of a funtastical party!!! The ones closest to us were there & made the day so special. We've gone from having nothing & bought another home, we still continue to truck all over the place in our semi, we've had 3 adoptions go bad & we are still madly deeply in love.
I can't even sum into words what my husband means to me. Just the word Ken brings a smile to my face. He's shy around most people but I can assure you he's the biggest asshat I know & has me bustin a gut on a daily basis! He knows how to hold me when I am sad & knows when I need to be put in my place & check my attitude. Yup...I admit it, I've got an attitude and am not always a walk in the park. He takes care of me when I am sick, inspires me to believe in my dreams, and myself & makes me want to be the very best I can be. He has calmed me down so much. He's the ying to my yang so to speak. He is the part of me that was missing...even before I knew something was missing. Here's to many more ultra fantabulastic years with my most amazing man! My we live to be 150 & still be the same madly in love kids we have always been & continue to be!!!!

What is on your Christmas List

A Different Kind of Wish List

Ya know…I'm actually a deep thinker. It would come as a surprise to many. Especially the ones who only know the goofy, loud, in your face, obnoxious Kathy.

Tonight I surprised my sweellacious friend Jewel a phone call. Her & her hubbykins are having another baby. They already have one perfect lil guy & this new blessing will be absolutely perfect! We talked for a good hour & a half. Talking about the upcoming babykins, our hubby's, grade school days, economy, religion, numerous other things & Christmas. Of course we spoke of Christmas!!! You can't talk to me this time of year & NOT have Christmas come up in conversation.

We spoke of gifts & what we'd like. Neither of us had "things" on our list. I think she was surprised when I told her what I "wanted" She said. "Your favorite holiday is Christmas & you don't want presents?" I'm not going to lie. I do like receiving gifts…but I don't expect them. Then I thought about my fantastical friend Brandy who instills giving to others in her children. She totally wrote a blog about it…made me tear up…cuz I'm an emo like that.

I went on to tell Jewel I'd love to have a new bookcase. I actually need one for my upteen books. There is no possibility of throwing books out either. I can read a book several times. Books rock my world. They are my "nic nacs" I'd also like jammies. I get them every year. The selfish side of me would be sad if I didn't get jammies on Christmas Eve. My Mom always gave me jammies then. But seriously, that's all I really want. Sure there are things that I think would be nice to have….but are they necessary???

It's been a few hours since my phone call with Jewel & this is what I've compiled on my Wish List:

To be surrounded by my family & friends

When my 15yr old brother gives me a hug & tells me he loves me always rocks my socks. What 15yr olds do that?

To see my nieces & nephews & see Christmas through their eyes

To host a game night with friends

A sledding, hot cocoa, yummy treat eating bonanza

To revisit fading memories of my Mom & Dad. It's been 23yrs since I've had a Christmas with Mom. Dad's 23rd anniversary is next month. Even though he was alive for the Christmas after Mom passed he was not "there" The memories fade as the days go by…but every now & then there's a reminder & it all comes back…it's those moments I cherish this time of year.

And there is one more…It's what I wish the most….I wish this every year….I would absolutely love, more like it would be a dream come true if I could meet the police officer who saved my life when I was 5 days old. There is no police record of it happening. It was August 30, 1975 & the Mayor of Manistique hit us head on. This officer gave me CPR & brought me back…and for that I am eternally grateful. I have experienced a lot of pain, went through my fair share of not too swell times. But you know what? I have had the best times too!! I had the opportunity to have loving parents, oodles upon oodles of siblings, nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles, friends & my one & only hubby Ken. I have seen the states, waded in the ocean, climbed small mountains out west, walked on the Great Salt Lake when the water was evaporated. I have gone camping & ran with my dogs. I have seen sunsets that have made me cry…for real. I have seen Eagles fly & heard train horns, I have had the privilege of being pregnant, if only for a short time by the most amazing man that exists, I have had the grief of losing ones I love. Those losses have taught me to love deeply & not take life for granted & to be humble & compassionate. I have been abused by an old man…it taught strength & to appreciate my body. I have laughed till I cried & cried till I laughed. I have witnessed the birth of my niece…the miracle of life…even though I am unable. I have had the amazing opportunity to meet new people & learn to crochet. I have felt kittens kick in my cats belly…something I would never experience in my own, I have been blessed with amazing in-laws who love my punk ass. I have ridden my bike in a rain flooded Sheridan Road, I have experienced the coughs & gags of smoking that 1st cigarette, I have laid on a blanket staring in the sky wishing upon stars to one day meet this man… so much has been experienced….. All this because a man, a hero decided a 5 day old baby was worth saving. It's the least I could do to give him a proper thank you…and even then, it's not enough. So yeah….meeting this man is always on my Christmas wish list and my birthday list. This one man has given me so many gifts that no Christmas gift could ever hold a candle to….

What's on your wish list this year???

Will it ever go away?

You know how when you’re sick you have oodles of time on your hand to think about things? Well that is how this past weekend was for me. Ken went on a short run on Wednesday & got home late that night. What was supposed to be a quick jaunt to WI turned into a long day. Ken came down with the nasty flu bug that’s going around. Poor guy. While he was on his way home I went grocery shopping & on a mission to keep the nasty bug from invading my system. I decided I’d give airborne a try, stocked up on OJ, toilet paper, Kleenex & made home made turkey noodle soup. I knew Ken was in for a doozy!! Or so I thought. I started with a nasty sore throat, coughing, sneezing & we quickly went through the boxes of Kleenex’s so my best friend became a roll of toilet paper. Then it hit me!!! The flu that is!!! YUCK!!!!!

Friday was horrible. Especially having only 1 bathroom & two heines in need of the toilet!! So not cool. Sure we can choreograph our movements much like a dance in our tiny kitchen but give us a grumbling tummy & 1 toilet….it’s not that easy!!! We missed the Christmas Parade downtown Friday night. =( Totally saddens me!! I have yet to see the parade downtown at night. This is the 3rd running of it at night! GRRRRRR. Darn flu!!! We did watch the NACSAR Award banquet though…which totally rocked my socks!!! We decided we’d go to Christmas In The Village on Saturday afternoon & meet some friends there. I could handle that. At least we’d get some Christmas cheer. WRONG!!! Ken was doing better but I was completely on shut down & out of commission. Not only did I have the flu but my MM was on one heck of a rampage. Darn me for making comments about having that under control!!! So, Ken rented movies & we sat around all day. I’m not one to sit through more than 1 movie let alone 4!!! But we squeezed them all in.

Yesterday was another movie watching day. Ken rented another 4 movies. And guess what? Yup, we watched all 4 of them!! I had a doozy of an attack yesterday. I try to hide them from Ken for the most part but yesterday I totally blew it when I went to dump my glass of soda in the sink & totally missed it by a long shot. Hey, I could have sworn the sink was where I aimed. Apparently not! It’s funny now but not yesterday. I left the kitchen feeling like a total jackass. So, needless to say after than not so swell event Ken made the soup for dinner & brought it to me so I wouldn’t make a mess. Bless his cute lil head!!!! =)

All this downtime made me one frumpy frog though & I have way too much on my mind. It would be hard for people to believe but this time of year gets me down sometimes. I try to stay positive & let the past be past. Like the saying goes, Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present…that’s why they call it a gift. I try my hardest to live by those words. But for some time there are some things that have been eating at my happiness for some time now. It’s time such as the flu, MM attacks that I have only but time that alots itself to these “things”

Last night as I laid in bed tossing & turning my thoughts began festering. Why is it that after 2yrs I cannot stand to be in the same room as this one person? The person who stole my very dream at having a family through lies, deciet & selfishness. The selfishness is never ending, putting themselves before their kids. But yet the government rewards them!!! I could go on but I don’t want to ruin my whole day.

Another thing…The economy sucks sumthin fierce right now as we all know. We have people losing their homes, their jobs, their pride. People who WANT to work, people who are not ashamed to work at McDonald’s or in other non big time jobs but yet there are still people who have jobs whining about having to go to work each day! It boggles my mind at the ignorance of these people!!! I swear, if I were a manager of some sort somewhere & heard such a statement the person would be crap canned & the job would be given to someone who is willing & WANTING to work!!!

What about the people who “mooch” from the system? I’m not talking about the good citizens down on their luck, sick or incapable of working. I’m talking about the baby grunter-outers, the professional Welfare bums. The ones who figure “why bother when we can get it for free” bums. The people us working class support!!!

This Christmas I say it’ll be different. Because this Christmas we don’t have our hearts out there to be broken. We aren’t in the process of any adoptions…nobody can hurt us. No family member stealing our dream, no other potential family brought into the picture….but yet it’s killing my yuletide joy. Last year was happy, the year before that I wish never happened.
Ugh, all this frustration…all this hurt…will it ever just go away?

I want Christmas to be special. I want to find the happiness. I find it in many moments but it quickly gets sucked out of me when I remember the hurt, the lies, the deceit.

Today Ken will be leaving to go back to work after a long 4 day weekend due to that not so swell flu-bug that invaded Woodbury-ville. Me, I’m still dizzy as all heck but am determined as all heck to re-discover my Yuletide Joy!!! I need to snap out of this funktifiedfunk and make some Christmas cookies or something. It’s not like me to be so frumpy & let past circumstances rule my present….which is a gift =)

Reminder to self: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery…today is a present. That’s why we call it a gift.

Main Floor Galore!!

I finished up the decorationalizing on the main floor today =) There are a few odds & ends to do yet but nothing major. Now tomorrow I can focus on the upstairs. =) My wunnaful in laws gave us their tree & it's honkan huge!! That will go in our bedroom. Ken picked that up for me today =) Isn't he the bestest!!!

I really don't know what to call this area....it's sandwiched in between the built in computer desk area & built in hutch. I guess we call it a buffet type thing...I dunno!!! But it's the place we put our ceramic village we painted years ago =)
This is one of my favorite lil areas...well minus the orange shag carpeting. LOL In this particular planter we have rocks from each of the 48 Continental United States. We also have a salt shaker with salt crystals Ken scooped up with his very own hands out of the Great Salt Lake in Utah. From the location where we were we could see the Bonneville Salt Flatts in the distance. Talk about ultra cool!!!

The lower planter/tier thing of this area displays a fibre optic Christmas Tree =) and pictures of our current pets & pets from our past.

This is looking from our dining room into the den area. Each & every entryway NEEDS garlands & lights. The back entrance/screen porch will have lights too!!! But I'll do that when we do the outside decorating. Which will be soon. =) p.s. I love Christmas!!!!!!

Here's another shot of the village area & the built in hutch. My fabulous Mom in Law gave me the awesome red & green wine glasses. Soooo festive!!!

Here's my other curio cabinet in the dining room all decorated up with....wouldn't ya know it...a Christmas tree!!!! =)

This cabinet hold my Memiere's china & a few special glass pieces we've accumulated.
I have a strong believe each room has to have a tree in it. I'm still brainstorming on how I can do the laundry room...It's basically two bi fold doors that house a washer & dryer inside...sorta like a closet. I'll figure sumthin out =)

Yuletide Joy Arrives in the Den

Wooo Hoooo! Fever broke last night after 5 days of feeling like complete monkey butt with some sort of flu/cold business. My Christmas decorationaliing had been on the back burner all week! Totally uncool!! But, today my lil brother came over & we took ALL of the Christmas stuff down from the attic. I won't go up there by myself...it's haunted..no joke!! It has metal crosses nailed in each corner...and I ain't movin them! Anyways, I had my backup in JJ just in case sumthin odd happened.

We bought a new tree for our bedroom this year...well I decided to use it in the den instead!!! =)

Two things I NEVER do on a Christmas tree...use colored lights or mis matched ornies. I'm one of those weirdos who need everythign to match & have order. Well this year I decided to try something different & use colored lights. I also used our old ornies, ornies from Ken's Christmas tree, ornies Ken made when he was a kiddo & some we've made ourselves. Ya know what? I absolutely LOVE it!!! It means so much having these memorable ornies on the tree. The felt gingerbread man Ken made in Kindnergarden, a potpouri ball we used as decoartion at our wedding hangs from it. It's hard to believe that lil lacey sacet is almost 13yrs old...where does time fly. There are ornies we used in our 1st apartment, ornies we made when we had no $ to purchase some. Ya know, each of these ornaments has a story. A very special story. I could gaze at this tree for hours. We decided each year we'd make a special ornament for this tree. You might notice we have no angel or star atop the tree...that's what we're going to make this year =)

I Got Lucky!!

Before you think I'm going to post an entry about bedroom behaviors I'll stop you right there. I got lucky by meeting this hunk of a guy!! My hubbykins Ken!!! =)

Now let me tell you about this man. I know I talk about him oodles. Well, he's not really the romantical type at all, he thinks I'm borderline insane with my Christmas decorating, and well, he's a dude & pretends to be a toughie. If he knew I was writing this he'd blush & call me a dork & I'd say thank you =)

Now let me tell you about the real Ken....This weekend I fell in love with him all over again. It was as if he were 16 & I was 18 again, when we 1st fell in love. Ahhh how 15yrs passes!! LOL

So, this weekend he actually got into the Halloweenie spirit, even bought a costume...a super funny one I might add! Now to most people he's rather blah, on the shy side. Well in the house his wackiness gives me a run for the $!!!

He tells me numerous times that I am gorgeous...even when I KNOW I look my worst!!

The man is a supreme chef in the kitchen & guess what he did? All of the cooking this weekend. We both woke up Saturday feeling like padooples. His flu bug cleared up right away & mine is finally getting better today. I had no problem cooking but he did it all...even ran the dishwasher & cleaned up after himself!!! Usually if he cooks I have a gynormous mess to clean up.

Oh, and Friday night he even made home made frozen custard. I was already in bed but it was made & super yummalish when I had some. He also sat outside with me while passing out Halloweenie candy to the trick or treaters!!

On Saturday he washed & vacuumed both of our vehicles while I slept on the couch. He came in & woke me up by rubbing my face & asked if I needed anything. I steam cleaned the carpeting Friday night & finished on Saturday afternoon. He carried buckets of water to fill the reservoir up & emptied the dirty water for me!!

We watched a few scary movies & snuggled on the couch. He rubbed my head while we watched. On Saturday he put in a movie. He wouldn't tell me what it was. I figured it would be one of "his" type of movies...but to my surprise it was a Christmas one!! Ok, my husband is NOT one for Christmas movies...but I am =) After that movie he put in The Bucket List. I kept dozing off. I had seen it already & I was still not up to par. I woke up with about a half an hour left. At the end of the movie he was crying...he usually tries to hide that. When we first started dating one of the things I loved about him is that he was a toughie who cried at sad movies. He's no sap but the dude has feelings.

On Sunday we went to the store to buy dog food & replace our light bulbs with energy efficient ones. I mozied into the Christmas section. Bought a big tree for the bedroom & one for the staircase. He came up to me & said, "Kat, don't buy too much, I want to spend some $ to decorate the house." Holy jeepers!! He wants to DECORATE the house?!? Eyyy eyyyy eyyyy! This can't be good...he doesn't have a decorating bone in his body. We went to the area they have floor lamps & clocks. We picked out a floor lamp for by my recliner. He said I need one for reading, etc. Then he picked out a clock for the living room! It's gorgeous!! When we got home I asked him if he'd help me in the attic with bringing some of the Christmas decorations down. Year after year he has complained about my having to put numerous trees up. It's not like he's ever helped decorate a tree. I was ready for him to try to talk me out of it & be a Bah Humbug...but he wasn't!!! Not one negative word!!!

He went to his folks & to our semi. Well it was taking him forever & I was putting the lights on the tree & half the green lights were burnt out. He didn't have his cell on him so I called his folks to see if he was still there. I asked if he'd grab a couple strands at Walmart for the tree. He said sure! It sounded like he was ready to leave. So I figured it'd be about a half an hour tops & I'd be able to put the rest of the lights on. Well hours passed. He finally walked through the door, handed me the bag with lights, tossed a canister of beef jerky to me & handed over these....

The card says "Guess Who....Loves You? I Do!!!" Then he signed it "I love you sooo much" Ken How awesomely sweet!!! After that we went in the kitchen & he decided to make dinner...again!!! I wonder...what does he want to buy? Yup, I sure did get lucky!!
THANK YOU KEN...for being my best friend, my everything, my husband & the best daddy to our furry pets!!!
